Rewarded Opinions: Another New Online Survey Site
I recently found another new survey site. So far, there isn’t very much information on it for research purposes, so I joined to find out for myself. Even this information is based on a short time span.
As of now, Rewarded Opinions is looking good. I found signing up to be simple and pretty fast. Right after joining, I was presented with 6 questionnaires about lifestyle, to be filled out at the participant’s leisure. Each of these questionnaires is worth 50 points, which will be added to your account upon completion.
Their point system is fairly straight forward. One point is worth one cent, so 50 credit points will give you 50 cents. When you reach 2,000 points, or $20, you can ask for a cash payout. Hopefully PayPal will be available someplace in their future, but as of yet, payment is still by check.
The website promotions say surveys will pay from $1 to $75. I tend to be skeptical of such statements. $75 is a lot for filling out a survey, and you just don’t see that. On the other hand, the $75 surveys are also mentioned as being focus groups. That seems more probable. So far, the surveys that I’ve had from Rewarded Opinions have been for $1 each, with another for $3.
I found a statement hidden in the terms and conditions area, and I wish they’d post it out in the open to be more easily noticed and read. It says that if you don’t log into your account for 6 months, they will terminate your account. All your earnings will be lost. I can kind of understand this, but I don’t think the notice should be hidden.
Overall, I have hopes for this site. I’ll have to let it get a bit older and more experienced, and then look at it again.
