A Paid Survey Site Review: Testspin
I’m giving Testspin a try and so far it’s working for me. Of course, there are those who disagree, but I like it!
Before I signed up, I checked them out on Google and read lots of reviews. It seems like there isn’t any middle ground, here; people either love them or hate them. On the Survey Police site, I found people complaining about getting error messages, or about not qualifying to take the survey after they’d already been taking it for 20 minutes. I’m glad my experience with Testspin hasn’t been like that!
For right now, their method of payment is a $10 Amazon gift card, which is nice, but I’d rather have money. Pretty soon though, Testspin is going to start paying by check or through PayPal.
They have a list of surveys available for participation posted on their website and it is open to the public. I like this feature, too.
They do seem to take their rules and regulations seriously. Some of the complaints were about non-payment and could have been from not following the rules stated in the user agreement that should be read when signing up:
Sometimes it takes more than 30 days to be credited, so please be patient. If you still aren’t credited it is more than likely due to the following reasons that were listed in the Terms of Agreement you “agreed” to when registering with TestSpin:
1. Registering with TestSpin by giving us false or misleading information
2. Changing your profile and giving false or misleading information
3. Creating multiple TestSpin accounts
4. Taking the same survey more than once
5. Taking a survey, not qualifying, then taking the same survey again with knowledge of how to get through the qualifying process
6. Telling another member how to get through the survey qualifying process
7. Intentionally giving faulty responses on a survey
8. Completing a survey so quickly that you would not have been physically able to read he questions
9. Posting our links to surveys anywhere on the internet
10. Registering if you are under the age of 13 years old
11. If we request a specific Tester profile in our email invite and you do not fit that profile, but attempt to take the survey anyway
12. Registering or changing user profile with usernames or email addresses that TestSpin deems indecent
13. Unable to answer profile verification questions
These Testspin rules don’t seem that difficult to me, and if you follow them like I have, it should be worth trying for you, too.
